Remember when the Loft was all the craze for their Hawaiian food until they slowly deteriorated into another sad attempt to bring Island Grinds to the mainland?  Well not to worry because the food has not strayed far.  Located on the North end of Meadow Park Plaza, Sully’s Restaurant & Tavern, or Sully’s for short, has the great food that we once remembered, served in a slightly different package.

Irish pub meets Hawaiian/60’s surf shack is the only way I could describe it.  With a fully stocked bar, pool table, big screen tv’s showing sports, and a full Hawaiian menu, it’s not your normal restaurant, or bar, or karaoke place, etc.  With the most ecletic group of people you will ever meet, it’s hard to sum this place up in a few sentences, so I’ll just move on to the food.

Hawaiian Fried Chicken - their staple.  If I were on death row and asked what I wanted as my last meal, Sully’s Fried Chicken would definitely be on the menu.  Served in a bowl (on top of rice) or a plate (with rice, ramen cabbage salad, and mac salad) you can’t really go wrong. 

If you’re feeling less carnivoric(?), there are also a couple salads I would recommend.  The Somen Salad is not as easy to find anymore.  The somen salad is a bed of shredded lettuce topped with cold somen noodles, egg, kamaboko, green onions, and char siu chicken.  Also, the chinese chicken salad is well, a chinese chicken salad, but definitely not a bad thing.

What Hawaiian restaurant would be complete without the “traditional” Loco Moco?  What bar would be complete without hot wings?  I dare you to take a big whiff of their wings and not have your eyes water, it’s impossible.

With an eclectic crowd, numerous form of entertainment, friendly staff, and awesome food, you can’t go wrong with Sully’s!
